The story
About this creation
At the centre of this necklace is a natural zircon in a rectangular cut, measuring 9 × 6 mm. Its colour is a clear, luminous blue with hints of teal, and the straight facets catch the light in cool flashes. The stone is held in slender prongs and set horizontally, so it sits calmly along the collarbone.
The necklace is made of 14K (585) yellow gold. The anchor-link chain is 47 cm long and has a sturdier, thicker link than the delicate look suggests, while the warm tone of the gold sets off the blue of the stone.
It is a finished piece, ready to own and available from our Prague atelier. It suits being worn alone as a quiet accent, or layered with other fine chains.

Caring for your jewellery
Caring for jewellery matters more than most people expect. Your creation sparkles newly after a gentle cleansing: most gemstones, and diamonds especially, respond beautifully to a wash in mild soapy water. But not every gem. An emerald, for example, must never be washed this way; its natural character asks for a different, gentler care. Please always ask us how to care for your jewellery, and especially for your gemstone. We will gladly show you.
Gold is a soft metal, and it deserves to be worn thoughtfully: removed for sport and heavy work, kept away from chemicals, stored in its box. And once every couple of years, we recommend bringing your jewel to a jeweller so the prongs can be checked for wear; a five-minute inspection protects a stone for a lifetime.
