The story
About this creation
The centre of this pendant is a pear-cut tourmaline of 8 × 6 mm, its colour a deep, glowing plum that shifts towards wine red as the light moves across the facets. The stone is held at its tip and sides by small, pointed rose gold claws.
Tucked against the lower edge of the tourmaline, three light pink trillion-cut sapphires of 3 mm each meet at a small gold bead, forming a little blossom. Their pale, soft colour lightens the darker centre stone, and each sapphire is secured by its own claws at the corners.
The pendant is made of 14K (585) rose gold and hangs on a fine cable chain in the same warm metal. It is finished and ready to own.

Caring for your jewellery
Caring for jewellery matters more than most people expect. Your creation sparkles newly after a gentle cleansing: most gemstones, and diamonds especially, respond beautifully to a wash in mild soapy water. But not every gem. An emerald, for example, must never be washed this way; its natural character asks for a different, gentler care. Please always ask us how to care for your jewellery, and especially for your gemstone. We will gladly show you.
Gold is a soft metal, and it deserves to be worn thoughtfully: removed for sport and heavy work, kept away from chemicals, stored in its box. And once every couple of years, we recommend bringing your jewel to a jeweller so the prongs can be checked for wear; a five-minute inspection protects a stone for a lifetime.
